Frequently asked questions
What markets are supported?
Scanr currently supports all US markets and exchanges, including all stocks registered on the NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, CBOE, and more. Our Super Pro plan also supports OTCs and ETFs.
Does the scanner update results in real-time?
Yes, on Super and Super Pro plans, the scanner refreshes results in near real-time. Our free Starter plan runs on market data delayed by 15 minutes.
Do my saved scans keep running in the background?
On Super and Super Pro, yes — we re-run your saved scans for you and alert you the moment one finds new tickers, whether or not you have Scanr open. On the free Starter plan your saved scans only run when you run them.
Does the scanner support nested groups and complex conditions?
Yes, the scanner supports nested groups and complex conditions. All indicators can be compared against other arbitrary indicators, for example, 'RSI > 50 and SMA(50) > SMA(200)'.
What timeframes are supported?
We support all major timeframes from 1 minute to 1 month. The free Starter plan only supports 1 day scanning.
What can the scanner screen on?
Technical indicators, fundamental metrics, candlestick and chart patterns, insider activity, short interest, supply/demand zones and relative strength. Any indicator can be compared against any other and wrapped in modifier chains (slope, correlation, crossovers, divergences), so the set of expressible conditions is open-ended rather than a fixed list. Fundamental filters are available on the Super and Super Pro plans.
