Chart presets

A chart preset is your chart setup saved under a name: the studies, the market data panels, the zones, the theme and the rest of the chart settings. Load it on a stock page, a dashboard chart or your scan results and the chart redraws the same way. Presets save to your account, so the ones you make on web show up in the app, and the other way round.
You need to be signed in to save or load a preset.
Save a preset
- Set the chart up the way you want it.
- Open Chart settings (the gear) and click ⋯ at the top of the dialog.
- Click Save as, type a Name, and check Favorite if you want it at the top of the list.
- Click Save.
With a preset loaded, Save writes over it. The dialog asks you to confirm first.
In the ⋯ menu:
- Load: pick a preset. Find settings… searches by name, and your favorites sit at the top.
- Rename: rename the loaded preset.
- Reset to defaults: put every chart setting back to the default. A loaded preset is unloaded, not deleted, so you can load it again.
The dialog title shows the name of the preset you have loaded.
Mobile only.
Saved settings and what you see
In your scan results, the chart can draw more than your settings: with Auto overlays on, it adds the studies your scan's filters use. See Show your scan on the chart.
So a results chart has two layers:
- Your settings: what you added yourself. A preset holds these.
- What the chart draws: your settings plus the auto overlays.
When you save from the results with auto overlays on, the dialog shows Include auto overlays. Check it to save what the chart draws, so the overlays become part of the preset and stay when you turn Auto overlays off. Leave it unchecked to save only your own settings.
Presets saved from a stock page or a dashboard chart never include auto overlays.
Reference
What a preset holds
"Kept, not shown" means the other platform doesn't have that setting. It still saves it, so a preset you save on your phone keeps the event markers you set on web.
A preset doesn't hold the timeframe. Load one and the chart keeps the interval and range you picked.
Where settings live between presets
Load the same preset on each to make them match.
Tips
- Make one preset per style, such as "Swing" with SMA 20, SMA 50 and RSI, and "Day" with VWAP and volume. Switching takes two clicks.
- Favorite the presets you use daily. They sit at the top of Load.
- Save scan presets with Include auto overlays checked when you want the scan's studies on every chart, not just in the results.
