Using scanr on the web
Available on: Web
The web app at scanr.ai has every scanr tool. It's where you build and save scans on a big screen, lay out your dashboard, and manage your plan and API tokens. The mobile app covers most of the same ground on your phone.
scanr runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. On a Mac, use Safari 16.4 or later.
Tour
The sidebar takes you to each tool. A new dashboard starts empty.
- Sidebar: Dashboard, Scan, My Scans (Performance, History and Events) and Account (Profile, API Tokens, API Usage, Plans and Upgrades and Settings). Its foot links to the Help center, the Roadmap, Suggest a feature, the API docs and Take the tour.
- Top bar: Search for a ticker…, the theme toggle, your notifications and your profile menu.
- AI Terminal: the round button at the bottom right opens it on any page.
The dashboard
My Dashboard is the first page you see after you sign in. It's a grid of cards you arrange yourself. A new dashboard starts empty: click Load a preset for a ready-made layout, or Add widgets to pick cards one by one.
- Add to dashboard (the grid icon at the top right) opens the card picker. Click a card to add it.
- Drag a card by its handle to move it, and drag its corner to resize it.
- Settings & layout (the cog) saves, loads and resets layouts, and applies a preset layout such as Market Overview or Active Trader.
- A card's Link color ties it to other cards. Cards on the same color follow each other: pick a ticker in one and the rest switch to it.
Cards you can add include Market Heatmap, Hot Market Tickers, Relative Strength, Market State, Theme Performance, Stock Chart, Watchlist and My Recent Scans.
Your changes stay in this browser until you save the layout. Name a layout to keep it, and set one as your default.
The scan page
The toolbar on top, then your filters, then the results.
- View (top left, showing List): switch the results between Overview, List and Charts.
- Actions…: a quick search over the scan's actions.
- Filters: the scan menu. Add a group, save, load, share, export or reset the scan, and open Filter presets.
- Scan: runs the scan. The cog next to it opens the universe settings.
- Stats row: how many stocks matched, out of how many scanned, and when the scan last ran. Watchlist saves the results as a watchlist.
Scanner 101 explains each filter type.
Keyboard shortcuts
On a Mac, the scan page shortcuts use the Control key, not Command. The ticker search works with either.
Scan page shortcuts are off on a shared scan you're only viewing.
Theme
scanr starts in dark mode. Click the sun or moon icon in the top bar to switch between dark and light. The choice is saved in this browser, so another browser or computer starts in dark mode again.
The home page, pricing pages, sign-in page and these help pages always show in dark mode.
Language
scanr is in English and Spanish.
- Go to Account > Settings.
- Under Language, pick a Display language: Match my device, English or Español.
- Click Save language.
The language is saved to your account. It applies on the web, in the mobile app, and in your emails and scan alerts. Match my device follows your browser's language.
Public pages such as pricing and the blog have a language link in the footer. That link changes only the page you're reading, not your account.
Tips
- Link a Watchlist card and a Stock Chart card to the same color. Click through the list and the chart follows.
- Save your dashboard layout before you leave. Unsaved changes stay in this browser only.
- Use Ctrl+K to jump to any stock page without leaving the keyboard.
