Your dashboard
Available on: Web · iOS · Android
On this page
The dashboard is the page you open first: a grid of cards you choose and arrange, such as a stock chart, your watchlist, the market heatmap and the theme tables. The scanner finds stocks that match your rules. The dashboard shows you the market and your work at a glance.
Web and mobile keep separate dashboards. A layout you save on the web doesn't appear on your phone, and the other way round.
Tour
Market Overview, the default preset. Every card can move, resize or go.
- My Dashboard: the page title, with your layout's name beside it, or Unsaved when your changes aren't saved yet.
- Market Status: whether exchanges, index groups and currency markets are open, closed or in extended hours.
- Add to dashboard (the grid icon): the card picker.
- Settings & layout (the cog): save, load and reset layouts, apply a preset, and open Dashboard Settings.
- Card handle: the small bar at the top of a card. Drag it to move the card.
- Card cog: the card's own settings, such as its title, its cohort or its refresh interval.
- ... (card menu): Maximize, Duplicate Card and Delete Card.
- Link dot: on cards that pick tickers, the dot at the top left sets the card's Link color.
The sidebar's Take the tour button replays the welcome tour of the app.
Create and configure
Start from a preset
A preset is a ready-made layout. Pick one to start, then change what you like.
- Open Settings & layout, then Presets. On a new, empty dashboard, click Load a preset.
- Pick a preset. If a saved layout is open, choose Apply Preset to replace its cards, or New Layout to start a fresh one.
- The preset opens unsaved. Save it to keep it.
- Click Add to dashboard (the grid icon at the top right), or Add widgets on an empty dashboard.
- Click a card to add it. A check marks the cards already on your dashboard. Click a checked card to remove it.
Cards under Views go on once each. Cards under Components, Stock Chart and Watchlist, can go on as many times as you like.
Move, resize and remove a card
- Move: drag the handle at the top of the card.
- Resize: drag the card's bottom right corner.
- Remove: open the card's ... menu, choose Delete Card, then confirm with Remove View.
- Copy: Duplicate Card adds a second copy with the same settings.
Change a card's settings
Open the card's cog (gear on mobile). Every card has a Title, so two copies of a card can carry different names. The other settings depend on the card: a cohort for Market State, a ticker for Stock Chart, a refresh interval for the cards that refresh.
Link cards
Linked cards follow each other. Pick a ticker in one card and the Stock Chart on the same color switches to it.
- Click the dot at the top left of a Watchlist, Hot Market Tickers, Relative Strength or Stock Chart card.
- Pick a color. Give the chart the same color.
- Click a ticker in the first card. The chart follows.
Linking is most useful where linked cards sit side by side: the web, an iPad or a phone in landscape.
Save your layout
- Open Settings & layout and choose Save Layout As.
- Enter a Layout Name. Tick Set as Default to open this layout every time you come to the dashboard.
- Click Save As.
Once a layout has a name, the dashboard saves your changes a few seconds after you stop editing. Before that, unsaved changes stay in this browser only. Use Load Layout to switch between saved layouts, and New Layout to start an empty one.
Reference
Cards
On the Free plan, prices on the dashboard are 15 minutes late. See Data delays and market hours.
Presets
Market State is in no preset. Add it from the card picker.
Dashboard settings
These apply to every card on the dashboard. On the web, open Settings & layout, then Dashboard Settings. On mobile, tap Menu, then Dashboard settings… (shown when a watchlist or theme history card is on the dashboard).
Tips
- Start from a preset close to how you trade, then remove what you don't read. A short dashboard loads faster and reads faster.
- Name your layout early. A named layout saves itself on the web, so you don't lose a change when you close the tab.
- Keep one layout per job, such as a morning market check and a watchlist for the session, and switch with Load Layout.
- Put the Market State card next to the Market Heatmap. The heatmap shows which stocks moved. Market State shows how broad the move was.
