What is scanr
Available on: Web · iOS · Android
scanr is a stock scanner for US-listed stocks. You describe a setup with filters, and scanr returns every stock that matches it right now. You can save the scan, chart the results, and get an alert when new stocks start matching.
It runs on the web at scanr.ai, in the iOS and Android apps, and through an API for your own code and AI agents.
Who it's for
How a scan works
A scan runs in four steps:
- Universe. Pick which stocks the scan looks at: exchanges, security types, countries, themes. See Universe.
- Filters. Add the rules a stock must pass, such as RSI(14)<30 or Market cap≥2B. Group filters to say "all of these" or "any of these". See Building scans.
- Results. Run the scan. scanr lists every match, with columns you can sort and a chart for each ticker.
- Save, chart, alert. Save the scan to rerun it later. On a paid plan, scanr reruns saved scans in the background and alerts you when a new ticker matches.
Concepts explains each of these in a few lines.
Your first scan
Start from a preset: a ready-made scan you can run as is.
- Click Scan in the sidebar.
- Open Filters, then Filter presets, and pick Low RSI.
- Click Scan.
You now have a list of stocks whose RSI(14) is low, which often means the stock has sold off hard. Change a filter's value and run the scan again to see how the list moves.
Your first scan: oversold RSI
Stocks whose 14-day RSI says they have sold off hard.
Filters
- RSI(c,14)<33.33
- How to use it
Treat the list as a watchlist, not a buy signal. Look for the RSI to turn back up before you act.
- Warning
A stock can stay oversold for weeks in a downtrend.
